Firm! The Car Of The Head Of The Parking Area Carelessly In The Monas Area During The Joint Session In The Monas Area Will Be Towed

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, emphasized that vehicles parked on roads around the National Monument (Monas) area during rehearsals and the inauguration of regional heads will be towed.

Syafrin said that the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency deployed 230 officers and tow trucks who would immediately execute elected regional head cars, officials, and invited guests who parked carelessly during rehearsals and inauguration.

"Today we have deployed members to regulate traffic and parking, as well as tow trucks for supervision in the field," Syafrin told reporters, Wednesday, February 19.

Syafrin emphasized that in rehearsal activities and inauguration which will be held today and tomorrow, officers will be stationed at the location. They will direct all invitations to put their vehicles into the Monas parking area.

Thus, Syafrin hopes that the cars parked on the road will cause severe congestion during the dirty rehearsal for the inauguration of the regional head on Tuesday, February 18 last year will not happen again.

"Yesterday, when the committee's rehearsal was dirty, the regional heads who would be appointed not to park on the road. We hope that many of the incidents yesterday parked on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat and Jalan Medan Merdeka Merdeka Utara today will not be repeated," explained Syafrin.

It is known that when elected regional heads undergo a dirty rehearsal for the inauguration in the Monas area, long traffic jams occur on the surrounding roads. This is due to the large number of cars parked on the road around Monas.

A number of cars were finally towed after officers repeatedly warned them to move vehicles parked carelessly.

A total of 481 regional heads were elected as a result of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections attended the briefing for the inauguration through a dirty rehearsal on Tuesday, February 18 and a rehearsal on Wednesday, February 19 at Monas.

On Thursday, February 20, the inauguration will be held at the State Palace starting at 10.00 WIB. Later, the regional heads who will be inaugurated will gather in the Monas area and form a line, then move to the Palace to undergo the inauguration.
