Meeting With Commission XII Of The DPR, IBC Calls It Has Turned Into New Energy Materials Investment Holding
JAKARTA - President Director of Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) Toto Nugroho revealed that currently IBC has changed to New Energy Materials Investment Holding.
This was revealed by Toto in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission XII of the DPR RI in Senayan, Monday, February 17.
Toto explained that this could encourage companies to create added value for domestic minerals.
"In terms of mission, we are now called New Energy Materials Holding. Why is that, because to get the most optimal added value of all our assets, especially in MIND ID," he said, Monday, February 17.
Toto said this was marked by the signing of the Shareholder Agreement (PPS) with four IBC shareholders, including PT Inalum, PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk, PT Pertamina (Persero), and PT PLN (Persero).
He added that there are many battery materals that can be automated from the results of commodity mining within MIND ID.
Not only raw materials for batteries, he continued, IBC can also process raw critical materials.
Furthermore, Toto said that currently, each member of MIND ID processes many Indonesian potentials such as nickel, cobalt, tin or tin, coal or coal, copper or copper, gold and bauxite.
"So if we withdraw each of these from the process side or downstream that can be done, there will be a lot of them which will be the ingredients that we call New Energy Materials Holding," said Toto.
