President Prabowo Still Allows Exporters To Take ADVANTAGE Of Natural Resources DHEs To Create Operations

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has officially signed a Government Regulation (PP) regarding the new provisions for the placement of Natural Resources Export Result Foreign Exchange (DHE) and will take effect on March 1, 2025.

Meanwhile, the government stipulates that the obligation to place DHE SDA in the domestic financial system is 100 percent and DHE SDA storage is 1 year since placement.

Furthermore, the placement of DHE SDA is carried out in a special account in the country, this is mandatory for exporters who have an export value of more than 250,000 US dollars per year.

However, Prabowo said that the government still provides space for exporters to maintain business continuity.

"In addition, the government also provides space for exporters to maintain the sustainability of their business by allowing these exporters to use DHE SDA which is placed in a special account," Prabowo said at a press conference, Monday, February 17.

Prabowo conveyed that the first was rupiah exchange at the same bank to carry out operational activities and maintain business continuity.

Second, payments in the form of foreign currency for tax obligations, non-tax state revenues (PNBP) and other obligations to the government in accordance with statutory regulations.

This policy is stated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 8 of 2025 concerning Foreign Exchange Export Results from Business Activities, Management, and/or Natural Resources Processing.

"In this article, administrative sanctions have also been regulated in the form of suspension of export services for those who do not implement this PP," he explained.
