Underwater Avtur Thief At North Sumatra Labu Beach Must Be Strictly Actioned
JAKARTA - Work Safety Expert of the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya Juwari said underwater avtur thieves on Labu Beach, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, must be dealt with firmly.
According to him, this action also had a serious impact on flights, in addition to safety, it also disrupted the flight schedule.
"This action not only threatens human life, but also aviation safety, sea water pollution, and also harms the state," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 14.
In addition, Pertamina's losses were not only a number of stolen avtur volumes, but if there was an accident, the loss was very large because it had an impact on its assets, of course, had an impact on state finances, because Pertamina was a state-owned company.
"So the impact is very large. That's why the law must really be enforced, so that this doesn't happen again," said Juwari.
Meanwhile, energy observer Inas Nasrullah Zubir added, this action in addition to being very dangerous is also very detrimental to Pertamina as a BUMN.
He asked the perpetrators to be severely punished. Law enforcers not only ensnare the perpetrators of theft with the Criminal Code, but could also use the Aviation Safety Law (UU).
"It must be sentenced to a maximum sentence. Even if necessary, there are multiple articles," said Inas.
