Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Ready To Launch SARI Chatbot, This Is A List Of Ministries That Already Have Chatbots

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemlu), is developing an AI chatbot feature (Artificial Intelligence) called the Indonesian Migrant Artificial Friends (SARI).

This chatbot was built jointly between the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UN Women, which will later be embedded into a feature in the Safe Travel application.

The Director General of Indonesian Citizen Protection, Judha Nugraha, also hopes that this SARI chatbot can detect regional languages such as Javanese, and so on.

In fact, Judha added, the SARI chatbot has been trained to be able to respond to the needs of its users, while providing empathy for them.

The WNI Care Portal is a web base. Meanwhile, Safe Travel is a mobile application that can be downloaded on the App Store or Play Store.

Caring for Indonesian citizens is intended for Indonesian citizens who live abroad. Meanwhile, Safe Travel, continued Judha, is dedicated to Indonesian citizens who travel briefly abroad, although Indonesian citizens who live abroad can also be used.

SARI is not the only chatbot created by the government. Prior to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Religion had launched an InVIA Bot (Inspectorate Virtual Intelligent Assistant) in 2024, which was designed to assist internal surveillance tasks and improve services to stakeholders.

In addition, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also has TIWI (Toughtful Indonesia Total Indonesia), an AI-based chatbot launched in 2020 to provide tourism-related information and creative economy to the public for 24 hours.

In fact, since 2022, the Ministry of Communication and Digital has a Digital Cybercreation Literacy chatbot, which aims to increase digital literacy in the community and can be accessed via WhatsApp at 0811-105-99977.

As well as the PeduliLindung WhatsApp Chatbot, which was launched in 2021 from the Ministry of Health, to accelerate the response to public complaints regarding the improvement of vaccination certificates and other information via WhatsApp.
