Apple Again Installs Advertising On Platform X

JAKARTA A number of companies were seen advertising on platform X, formerly known as Twitter, one of which is Apple. The company is back on advertising after a year more of pulling away from the platform.

Apple stopped advertising on X in November 2023 due to controversy over antisemitism theory on the platform. This issue was initiated by a tweet by Elon Musk, owner of X, who allegedly promoted antisemitism and led to racism.

After that, the Media Matters research center posted their findings on advertisements placed alongside antisemitism content supporting the Nazi movement and promoting Hitler. These ads came from Apple, IBM, Oracle, and others.

Based on MacRumors' findings, Apple's account has been showing advertisements since 12 February. This ad promotes Safari's privacy feature. Apart from Apple's account, AppleTV's account is also seen showing advertisements again on the platform with the black logo.

The account promotes Apple TV + Severance shows. Apparently, there will be more Apple accounts that will be seen promoting features, products, or events on X. This ad finding is not surprising because news of Apple's Return has emerged since last January.

Based on a report by The Wall Street Journal, Apple has discussed with X to show ads back on the platform. The talks have been going on for several weeks and the two have entered into a new deal.

Therefore, Apple is seen advertising again on X. Apple is not the only company that attracts advertising, then advertises again. Another company that does the same thing is Disney.
