Aceh Prosecutor's Office Executes Rp17.9 Billion State Losses From Corruption Cases For Rejuvenation Of People's Palm Oil

JAKARTA - The Aceh High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) executed state losses from the corruption case of the people's palm oil rejuvenation program (PSR) in West Aceh Regency with a value of Rp. 17.9 billion.

Head of the Legal Application and Public Relations Section of the Aceh Attorney General's Office, Ali Rasab Lubis, said the execution was carried out after the case with three convicts had permanent legal force or inkrah.

"The money that was executed was confiscated by the corruption of the PSR program carried out by the Mandiri Jaya Beusare Producer Cooperative in West Aceh Regency from 2017 to 2020," he said in Banda Aceh, Antara, Friday, February 14.

Ali Rasab Lubis said the tens of billions of rupiah were confiscated as evidence at the investigation level. Furthermore, the evidence was executed and deposited into the account of the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS). The deposit to the BPDPKS account is in accordance with the cassation decision.

He mentioned the three convicts in the PSR program case in West Aceh Regency, namely Zamzami as the Head of the Mandiri Jaya Beusare Producer Cooperative. Zamzami was sentenced to 12 years in prison, paying a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.

"As well as paying compensation for state losses of Rp1.45 billion. If the defendant does not pay, then his property will be confiscated and auctioned off to compensate the state's losses. If the convict is unable to pay for not owning property, then he will be sentenced to two years in prison," he said.

Then, Said Mahjali as Head of the Plantation and Livestock Service of West Aceh Regency for the period 2017 to 2019. Said Mahjali was sentenced to seven years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to two months in prison.

Also, Danil Adrili as Head of the Plantation and Livestock Service of West Aceh Regency for the period 2019 to 2023. Said Mahjali was sentenced to six years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to two months in prison.

"The deviations that occurred in the PRS case included legality of plantations, land legality and verification that were not optimal and others. Therefore, it is important to monitor the maximum parties, so that the program is really right on target," said Ali Rasab Lubis.
