Government Ensures MBG Involves MSMEs

JAKARTA - The central government ensures that the free nutritious food program (MBG) involves micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"MBG This is a center for its implementation, the President clearly conveyed that this program must involve MSMEs," said Deputy Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Helvi Yuni Moraza as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 12.

He gave an example, MSME players can supply raw materials, such as eggs and vegetables.

"For example, in the provision of MBG there are eggs, fish, then meat," he said.

Related to this, Helvi invites MSME actors to establish a foundation or form a large business.

"Then jointly organize it and participate in the MBG program," he said.

In addition, the Ministry of MSMEs has also collaborated and asked for commitments from banks that are members of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) to make it easier for MSMEs to access financing.

"So if friends (MSMEs) get a work order from BGN (National Nutrition Agency) it can be a guarantee for friends to get capital," he said.

The involvement of MSMEs in the MBG program is an opportunity to participate in improving the nutrition of the nation's children.

"Following in educating the nation's children, preparing a superior generation in the future. So it's just a matter of whether or not MSMEs carry out this opportunity," he said.
