BNN Affected By Budget Efficiency Of Nearly IDR 1 Trillion
JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) was affected by budget efficiency of Rp998 billion in budget restructuring in 2025, as followed up by Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 concerning Expenditure Efficiency in the Implementation of the State Budget and Regional Budget for Fiscal Year 2025.
The Main Secretary (Sestama) of BNN Inspector General Tantan Sulistyana explained that initially BNN obtained a budget ceiling for 2025 of IDR 2.45 trillion, but then it was efficient up to 40.7 percent based on a meeting held with the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) on Tuesday (11/2).
"Last night, Tuesday (11/2), the last meeting with the Directorate General of Budget of the Ministry of Finance had determined the efficiency of the BNN budget through the blocking of a budget of Rp998 billion or equivalent to 40.7 percent of the BNN budget ceiling for the 2025 fiscal year," said Tantan. reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 12.
He then detailed the composition of the BNN budget per type expenditure in 2025 after efficiency was carried out, namely personnel expenditure (permanent) of Rp. 682.9 billion; goods expenditure which was originally Rp. 1.01 trillion was efficiency to Rp. 404.5 billion; and capital expenditure which was originally Rp. 760.6 billion was efficiency to Rp. 369 billion.
"With the budget efficiency policy, the remaining effective ceiling of BNN is IDR 1.45 trillion," he said.
BNN then prioritizes and maximizes strategic activities that have an impact on the community after the reallocation is carried out after the budget blocking.
These include handling areas prone to drugs, anti-drug education in education units, and Narcotics Examination Result Certificate (SHKPN) services.
