Israel Withdraws From Tubas West Bank After 11 Days Of Military Operation

JAKARTA - Israel withdrew its troops from Tubas, the occupied West Bank region, after carrying out military operations for 11 days.

Witnesses told Anadolu, Wednesday, February 12, that Israeli soldiers had left all the locations they controlled in the Far'a refugee camp they had destroyed.

Reported by ANTARA, in another region, Jenin and Tulkarem, the Israeli army continued to launch an attack that began January 21 and has killed more than 30 people, thousands displaced, and destroyed.

Israeli attacks in the West Bank have escalated since the ceasefire and prisoner swap deals in Gaza took effect on January 19.

The ceasefire halted Israeli military aggression for 15 months, killing more than 48,200 Gazans and destroying the Palestinian enclave.

Since Israel launched a war in Gaza in October 2023, violence by Jewish troops and settlers has killed at least 910 Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

In July 2024, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) stated that Israel's occupation of Palestinian soil for decades was an illegal act and Israel was asked to vacate all Jewish settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
