Prabowo Pose Silat Signals Happy Defense Cooperation With Erdogan

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto poses silat signaling his satisfaction with the results of cooperation in the field of defense that was established and agreed between Indonesia and Turkey.

He showed the silat pose after answering reporters' questions related to the achievement of defense cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey after releasing the group of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to close his state visit at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Wednesday, February 12.

"Good, good," said Prabowo, who explained that the defense cooperation agreement with Turkey went smoothly as reported by ANTARA.

During the state visit of Turkish President Erdogan to Indonesia, cooperation in defense and security reached what was agreed upon by the two countries.

At the Bogor Presidential Palace, President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia and the Republic of Turkey had agreed to strengthen collaboration between the two countries in the field of defense and security.

"Indonesia and Turkey will strengthen defense and security cooperation, including education and training for our armed forces personnel, intelligence cooperation, and counterterrorism," President Prabowo said when delivering a joint statement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The President also said an agreement was also formed between the two countries to increase joint production in the defense industry.

Hasil dari pertemuan bilateral antara Indonesia dan Turki salah satunya ialah disepakati adanya memorandum saling pengertian tentang kerja sama strategis di bidang industri pertahanan antara kedua negara.

The agreement was ratified with the signing of documents from the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and the Turkish Presidential Defense Industry Secretariat.

In addition, at the same moment President Prabowo and President Erdogan also witnessed the collaboration between defense industry actors by signing documents for the formation of a joint venture between companies in the defense sector of Republyorp from Indonesia and Baykar from Turkey for the manufacture of drones or unmanned aircraft in Indonesia.
