George Floyd's Killer Is Convicted, Celebrities Expressed Their Gratitude Through Twitter
JAKARTA - The George Floyd murder case was continued on Tuesday, April 20. During the trial, Derek Chauvin was found guilty of the murder of Floyd.
Chauvin is charged with second-degree, third-degree, and second-degree murder. The former Minneapolis police officer acted as the start of the Black Lives Matter campaign that reverberates to this day.
After being convicted, a line of celebrities expressed relief at this verdict.
Cardi B, Mariah Carey, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Miguel, Whoopi Goldberg expressed their gratitude through a number of tweets.
"Rest in JUSTICE George Floyd", wrote Katy Perry.

On Instagram, several actors and musicians have spoken out about this verdict such as Oprah, Jamie Foxx, Ciara, Lizzo, Viola Davis, and others.
“I am both happy and relieved that the person who did this horrendous thing to you and your family was found guilty. This bitterness cannot bring you back", said Jamie Foxx in his post with a photo of the late George Floyd.
“GUILTY !!!! As it should be!! Now… rest in peace George Floyd. Break", said Viola Davis.
Derek Chauvin was found guilty after strangling George Floyd's neck for nine minutes. Chauvin faces up to 40 years in prison for second-degree murder and was arrested immediately after the verdict was finished.
