PAM Jaya Expands Free Water Tanks For Low Water Pressure Areas
JAKARTA - BUMD Perumda PAM Jaya expands the free water reservoir (torent) assistance program in various areas of Jakarta. This is done in an effort to increase access to clean water for people in areas with low piped water pressure (low supply).
President Director of PAM Jaya Arief Nasrudin said that this program is intended to help low-income people (MBR), especially in dense residential areas, do not experience water difficulties during busy hours.
"This program is for the low supply area, so that in the evening people can fill in water and do not have to fight during rush hour. This assistance is intended for small communities who really need it," said Arief in his statement, Tuesday, February 11.
The plan is that the expansion of the distribution of 1,000 free water reservoirs will be given to beneficiaries in the Duri Kosambi, Pademangan, and Kota Tua areas. Residents in this area often have difficulty getting clean water with high pressure.
According to Arief, coordination with various parties, including members of the council who have constituents in the low supply area, continues to be carried out so that this program can reach people who really need it.
"We continue to coordinate to ensure this assistance is right on target. This year, we will give a total of 1,000 reservoirs to the community," he added.

Previously, PAM Jaya distributed free reservoirs to customers living in Pademangan. The distribution of free reservoirs in areas that get low supplies is expected to be able to store when the water supply is limited. Thus, customers no longer have difficulty when they need water for their daily needs.
