Arash Buana Expresses The Story With The First Former On Tavoryn's Song

JAKARTA - Lagu berjudul 'Tavoryn', materi dari album penuh kedua 'Life Update' yang dirilis September 2024, merupakan salah satu lagu yang paling dimintai penggemar Arash Buana sejauh ini.

"Tavoryn" is a form of Arash's expression of condolences for past separations. He realized that there are types of regrets that are unfortunately difficult to bear in time. This song became the way the 21-year-old singer wrote the song to convey a message to the figure named Tavoryn.

Answering the question of who the real figure of Tavoryn is, Arash admitted that the name was addressed to a woman who was once his girlfriend.

"Tavoryn is my first ex. I can't reveal her real name, but Tavoryn is her social media handle name," said Arash Buana in a press release, Sunday, February 9.

Arash feels the success of this song cannot be separated from his belief that a fully honest musical work will definitely reach the listeners' ears

"Tavoryn" does have a quite different impression. When compared to other songs on the album, this song emits a more minimalist feel, almost silent, but further tore through emotions.

"The reason why I packed this song with a more minimalist music production packaging is because I want to give more space for my feelings for Tavoryn," he said.

A personal experience is a special reason why Arash decided to present a clearer and freer style of lyric writing from double meaning.

"Before I wrote this song, it happened that my romantic relationship was just over. But, for some reason, when I decided to reflect, what hit my head was even when I separated from Tavoryn. Even though the separation happened about four years ago. For some reason, I always reflex comparing each of my separations with my first separation, "he said.

"When I decided to dig deeper into those past memories, I realized that maybe there was some kind of unfinished business between me and Tavoryn. Maybe there was something I should have told Tavoryn four years ago, but I didn't tell him," Arash continued.

In terms of musicality, "Tavoryn" is considered to represent Arash Buana's identity as a songwriter to mix a work that is completely rooted in reality.

"I think the realism in my songwriting, including for this song 'Tavoryn', is due to the fact that I explored my profession as a songwriter from a very early age," Arash said.

"I see my work as a kind of point of introspection of my life. In a sense, writing songs is the way I document and dissect what life has given me so far. And for some reason, the more specific and personal the point of introspection, the more connected my musicality is in the eyes and ears of my listeners," he added.

Arash Buana wants the moment of introduction to the song "Tavoryn" to also be his introduction to the Tap Projects which will present a performance titled The Class of 2000s: Arash Buana and The Nakamas in Krapela, South Jakarta on February 26.

"Throughout this live event, I plan to bring some deep cuts for me, which are rarely performed on my previous stage. Here, my main mission is to show the audience what my soul will be like as a musician. Maybe this live event will be my stage that is more wild and more enjoyable than my usual stage, "he said.

The Class of 2000s: Arash Buana and The Nakamas is also a warm-up for Arash for the grand plans that have been prepared for this year.
