It Was Revealed That The Lake In Sikumana, East Nusa Tenggara, Was Formed Due To High Rainfall
JAKARTA - Head of the East Nusa Tenggara Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Margiono said that the formation of a lake in Sikumana, Kupang City was the result of the extreme weather that hit the area on Sunday, April 4.
"The weather conditions were so extreme that they triggering the emergence of springs from rocks on the ridges in this area," said Marigiono at the location of the Tankolo lake in Sikumana Village, Kupang City, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 20.
He said the high rainfall could trigger an increase in spring that appears.
"The water is so much in the ground and it is already saturated that it tries to find a way to get out by entering the crevices of the rock to get out," said Margiono.
