IKN Development Budget Blocked, Bahlil: Presidential Target 2028 Continues To Move
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP, Bahlil Lahadalia, said President Prabowo Subianto was still targeting the transfer of the government center to the capital city of the archipelago or IKN in East Kalimantan in 2028.
The statement was made when responding to the blocking of the IKN development budget.
"As far as we know, this IKN is still the target of the President, in 2028 we will move to the New Capital City in IKN, we have moved," Bahlil told reporters, Saturday, February 8.
All processes or stages of completion of IKN development are said to continue to run. However, regarding the mechanism, the Ministry of Public Works (PU) is authorized to explain.
"Well, what kind of strategy is the settlement, it's in the Ministry of Public Works. So, we can't explore it too much, don't feel like because the chairman of the party all understands, not really," said Bahlil.
Previously, the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo or Jokowo, had also responded to the blocking of the IKN development budget. According to him, this matter is more questionable to the current government.
