7 Important Goods That Often Forget To Bring During Traveling

JAKARTA - Travel, be it for holidays or businesses, is often full of anticipation and preparation. However, in the midst of all these preparations, there are some items that are often forgotten.

In order to travel more smoothly and stress-free, here are 7 items that are often forgotten during travel, which you should not miss, as reported by VOI from the Real Simple page on Friday, February 7.

1. Adaptor

Adaptors are goods that must be brought when traveling abroad. If you forget, it could be an expensive mistake.

"Every time I pack, I often run around looking for a converter from the US plugs to the European brokers C and E. If I lose it or don't find it, I have to buy it at the airport," said Pauline Eveillard, a household goods expert.

2. Cellphone Charger

It's very difficult to continue the journey if the phone goes off in the middle of the road. "I don't like charging my phone using a computer, so I prefer to bring a separate phone charger," said Eveillard.

"If I forget to bring a charger, I have to pay more expensive at the airport, or worse, while on the way," he added. In addition to the usual phone charger, travel expert Nicole Cunningham also recommends bringing a portable power bank. "Don't forget to charge the bank power before leaving. Travel day can be very long, and you don't want to run out of power when you get to your destination," he added.

3. Cash

While there is no need to bring a lot of money, it is important to bring a little cash, especially if you travel abroad.

"I like to have some coins and euro coins to buy small things, like coffee, at the airport during transit, which is usually in Paris. I can use my phone to pay, but I prefer to use the banknotes and coins in the table drawer," said Eveillard.

4. Brush Portable Teeth

Most people use brushes twice a day. However, this important item is often forgotten.

"I tend to forget to bring an electric toothbrush. I just left it on a brush, and it was very stifling when I had to use a disposable brush from the hotel," said Joni Sweet, a travel writer.

5. Suits that match the weather

With all the efforts made to plan travel, even experienced travelers sometimes forget important things. Even though where we come from it is summer, the season at the destination of the trip may be different.

"One time I forgot to bring a jacket to Finland. At home in the summer, but I forgot that in Finland the weather was much cooler. I had to buy warm clothes," Sweet said.

To avoid this, always check the weather forecast a few weeks before the trip and make sure your clothes are ready.

6. Pulpen

Cunningham said that the simplest thing that is often forgotten is pens.

"Usually, we don't write much by hand. Keep pens in cabin bags for easy access. Sometimes there are forms that need to be filled out on the plane, and you don't want to borrow used pens full of germs to fill them out," he said.

7. Extra Plastic Bag

While you may have brought plastic bags for cosmetics and toiletries, it's a good idea to bring some extra bags. "Plastic bags in various sizes are things that are often forgotten, but very useful when traveling," said Cunningham.

"These bags almost don't eat up the place, but they are very useful for storing wet items such as swimming clothes, snacks at the airport, or dirty clothes. They can also help organize small items so it's not difficult to find them in bags," he added.
