Ariyo Wahab Wants Maximum For His Comeback After Eight Years

JAKARTA - Ariyo Wahab made a comeback after eight years for his solo music project. Joining the MyMusic label last year, the 50-year-old singer released a single titled Cinta to mark a new start.

Over the past eight years, Ariyo admitted that he had tried to issue a new single, but he felt he had to work very hard to make it happen, so his current choice is to make music under the music label.

"The angle from 2017 is still working on its own, recording, self-promotion. I think it seems that you have to work because you are surprised," said Ariyo Wahab during a press conference in Sudirman, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 6.

"And I thought that if I made another single, I should have a label that took care of me," he continued.

Currently, Ariyo is confident that he can maximize his music project.

"I'm now more prepared in time, to promote songs and all kinds of things," he said.

Meanwhile, the single 'Cinta' is inspired by the philosophy of water that has flexibility and adaptability.

"Water when it is in the palms of our hands, when we hold it, the water will come out and it will not be left, but if we open the palms of our hands, the water will persist and adjust it to the shape of our hands, and that's love," said Ariyo.

"Love cannot be forced, but comfort. Force will only produce fakeness and mercy, while love itself is about sincerity and purity," he added.

Apart from being able to be heard on various digital streaming platforms, Ariyo Wahab's latest single entitled 'Love' is also present in the form of a music video on the YouTube channel MyMusic Records.

The process of making music videos is directed by Bagoes Tresna, who is given the freedom to explore the visualization of the lyrics of the song, thus making audio and visual elements complement each other. In this music video, Ariyo Wahab competes acting with Raihaanun.
