Transportation Becomes Contributor To Sorong Inflation As Of January 2025 Amounting To 4.19 Percent

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) stated that transportation groups in January 2025 Sorong City experienced inflation of 4.19 percent (yoy) or an increase in index from 115.11 in January 2024 to 119.92 in January 2025.

Head of BPS Sorong City, Rumila Natrotilova explained that the subgroup experiencing the highest annual inflation, namely the subgroup of goods delivery services at 23.52 percent and the lowest inflation, namely the operating subgroup of personal transportation equipment at 0.06 percent.

"This group in January 2025 contributed 0.41 percent to YoY's inflation," explained ANTARA, Monday, February 3.

The dominant commodities that contribute or contribute to inflation, namely air transportation by 0.32 percent, sea transportation and motorcycles by 0.04 percent, parking rates by 0.02 percent, and shipping costs by 0.01 percent, respectively.

"The dominant commodity contributes or contributes to yoy deflation, namely 0.02 percent of gasoline," he said.

This group, he said, in January 2025 contributed 0.14 percent of the air transportation commodity by 0.21 percent.
