Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah revealed that until now, no employer has reported his inability to pay the 2021 religious THR for his workers in full.
As is known, last week the Ministry of Manpower issued a Circular (SE) number N / 6 / HK.04 / IV / 2021 concerning the Implementation of Religious THR Granting in 2021 for Workers / Laborers in Companies. This Circular Letter stipulates that employers are required to pay their employees' THR in full or not in installments no later than H-7 before this year's Eid.
However, the government provides concessions for entrepreneurs who are unable to pay the THR in full due to the impact of businesses that have not recovered due to COVID-19. Furthermore, Ida said, entrepreneurs who violate by not giving THR in full and on time in accordance with statutory regulations will receive administrative sanctions and fines.
The rules regarding sanctions are regulated in the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 6 of 2016 concerning Religious Holiday Allowances for Workers or Laborers in Companies. In this regulation, companies that are late in paying Religious THR are subject to a fine of 5 percent.
"Sanctions for late payment in accordance with statutory regulations will be subject to fines. These fines are used for the benefit of workers or laborers," he explained.

Ida Fauziyah said that the existence of the 2021 Religious THR Posko is a form of government facilitation so that workers or laborers' rights to get Religious THR can actually be paid according to existing regulations.
"As a follow-up, we will immediately issue a ministerial decision regarding the command for the implementation of the religious THR, which this year is different from last year. Because we involve our internals, all of our units will be involved to command the THR post in 2021," he said.
