Investigated By KPK, Alleged Corruption Of The Riau SKA Intersection Flyover Project Loses Rp60 Billion To The State
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed allegations of a riot in the construction of the Simpang Jalan Pembeli Tambusai flyover, Jalan Soekarno-Hatta (SP.SKA) within the Riau Provincial government for the 2018 fiscal year cost the state Rp60 billion.
This number can still increase because it is only a temporary calculation.
"The provisional calculation of temporary state losses in this case is approximately Rp. 60 billion," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in a written statement, Friday, January 24.
To investigate this allegation, Tessa said her agency asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent five people from leaving the country. "The KPK has issued Decree Number 109 of 2025 concerning the Prohibition of Traveling Abroad," he said.
The prohibition of traveling abroad applies for six months. Tessa said the move was aimed at preventing the five people from going anywhere so that investigations could be carried out easily.
"This decision is valid for six months," said a spokesman with the investigator's background.
Previously reported, the KPK named five suspects in the alleged corruption in the construction of the Simpang Jalan Pembeli Tambusai flyover, Jalan Soekarno-Hatta (SP.SKA) within the Riau Provincial government for the 2018 fiscal year. This step is based on an investigation warrant (sprindik) issued on January 10, 2025.
"The suspects have already been mentioned by YN, GR, TC, ES, and NR," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, January 22.
