OKI Condemns Israeli Attacks In West Bank Jenin That Killed 12 People And Injured Dozens Of Others
JAKARTA - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemns the attacks and crimes committed by Israel in the West Bank, particularly in Jenin City and its refugee camps which resulted in the deaths of 12 people and dozens of injured residents.
At least 12 Palestinians were killed and nearly 40 injured during the continuing attacks in Jenin city and its refugee camps for the third day in a row, amid massive destruction of local infrastructure and property, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Thursday, as quoted January 24.
The latest death toll falls on Thursday morning, in which two Palestinians identified as Qutaiba Shalabi (30) and Muhammad Nazzal (25) from Qabatiya were killed in Israeli attacks, following a siege on a house where they are in Burqin City. The bodies of both were reportedly detained by Israel.
Separately, the OIC in its statement warned of the seriousness of daily crimes committed by the invaders, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, the most recent of which was their horrific attack on several villages, and the burning of property, houses, vehicles, and agricultural land.
The continuing intense attacks also resulted in the destruction of roads and infrastructure. The establishment of military checkpoints and iron gates to isolate Palestinian cities and villages is considered a violation due to an extension of war crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
The organization also asked occupation authorities to take direct responsibility for the consequences of crimes and colonial attacks that require accountability according to international criminal law.

Israel reportedly started its aggression in Jenin on Tuesday. They imposed a tight siege, closing its entrance.
Israeli drones continued to fly in the camp's skies, threatening residents through loudspeakers and dropping leaflets. In addition, install facial and eye recognition devices. They also launched a massive detention campaign in the camp, which affected large numbers of residents.
