Police Identify Dead Man Allegedly Jumping From 11th Floor Parking PVJ Bandung Mall

Bandung Police have identified a man with the initials A (20), who died, allegedly jumping from the 11th floor of the Paris Van Java Mall (PVJ) Bandung parking building on Thursday at 16.25 WIB.

Sukajadi Police Chief Kompol Edy Rusmawan revealed that currently the Bandung Police Inafis Unit has evacuated the victim's body.

"Reports from witnesses, the victim jumped from the PVJ parking lot, then we came to the TKP, it turned out that the victim was lying dead," said Edy in Bandung, Thursday.

Edy said that based on the results of the temporary crime scene (TKP), the victim suffered severe injuries to the head due to a hard impact when he fell to the ground.

Currently, he said, the victim's body has been taken to the Sartika Asih Hospital, Bandung City for an autopsy.

Based on witness testimony, the victim jumped from the 11th floor of the PVJ Mall parking building. However, the police still cannot confirm which floor the victim jumped on.

Edy said that his party was still investigating the motive for the man suspected of committing suicide by collecting evidence of CCTV footage and witnesses at the scene.

"We are still investigating, both from the existing witnesses, including from CCTV," he said.
