Dedi Mulyadi Will Shift The Budget Of IDR 2 Trillion Inefficient For Public Expenditures
JAKARTA - The elected Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, stated that he would shift the regional budget which is considered to be in an inefficient post, including grants, up to around Rp. 2 trillion for public spending which will be realized in the 2025 Revised APBD.
In leading West Java, Dedi wants to have priorities for public services starting from education with a minimum level of high school graduates, health services that must reach the entire community.
The quality of each hospital is also equivalent to one another to reduce service queues, good road infrastructure and width without holes, electricity supply for 140 thousand residents who have not been served, clean water service guarantees, and low housing guarantees.
"Well, all of that needs money. The money is in Kasda, West Java Province, which is already in the 2025 work plan. Of course, the permission of Mr. Acting and the transition team that he formed consists of provincial government officials, a change in the direction of financial policy will be made for public interest expenditures that are felt directly by the community. Shifting the numbers that are considered inefficient and unproductive will be crossed out," said Dedi as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 22.
After being analyzed by himself and his team, said Dedi, it was found that the figure expected could reach above Rp. 2 trillion for public spending as previously stated.
"So I have conveyed to the Acting Governor of West Java. One of them is that we want the road in West Java to be completed this year," he said.
One of the things that will occur is efficiency, Dedi said related to grant funds, where based on the information he received there is a miss management where there is an admin that controls the system so that it can enter the budget, process, and disburse.
In the future, he emphasized that in the future all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in West Java will announce transparently their budget and activities to the community.
"Well, in the future, it must be put in order, so that the budget in West Java is well controlled and beneficial for the interests of the community, and most importantly from now on all OPDs will announce the number of budgets and types of activities to the community," he said.

However, Dedi said that he would not eliminate grant funds, but would be corrected because his party wanted to prioritize what was needed by the community.
Like provincial roads, 100 percent must be completed with smooth and without potholes, the construction of a New Classroom, especially the high school level, the arrangement of health centers and hospitals, and ensuring 140 thousand families are electrified.
"So we will not prioritize grants. We will prioritize what is needed by the community. The focus is on completing provincial roads, resolving 140 thousand people who do not have electricity, and adding new RKB to high school, especially," said Dedi.
Dedi also said that for the road repair project, he would delay financial assistance for profit sharing for 27 districts/cities from motor vehicle taxes.
"Because now it has spread to 27 regencies/cities, we will postpone it first. I have conveyed earlier, it will be directed at the vision that I conveyed. For example, the distribution assistance for the Rp6 trillion proceeds which is submitted in the form of profit sharing and we have emphasized that the profit sharing assistance is 100 percent for roads and equipment. So I target all of us in 2 of 2025-2006 all provincial roads from provinces, regencies and villages are completed," said Dedi.
