Previously, residents of Kemayoran who were victims of the fire arrested two men carrying gasoline after a fire that scorched 543 houses on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol, Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

Devolta (18), a resident of RW 04 Kebon Blank Village, suspected that his settlement was suspected to have been burned on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in the early hours of the morning.

The reason is that residents saw 2 unknown people (OTK) riding a Honda Vario motorcycle carrying jiriken containing gasoline.

According to Devolta, at around 00.30 WIB he saw 2 people bringing gasoline into RT001.

"I'm buying meatballs, suddenly someone brings gasoline," said Devolta when met at the fire location, Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Initially, Devolta thought that the 2 OTKs were residents around retail gasoline sellers who had gone home shopping.

However, he said, one OTK entered the RT01 settlement, then poured gasoline on the residents' houses and then burned it. Meanwhile, another OTK remains on the motorbike in front of the alley.

"There were 2 people on the fire, one on the motorbike that caught fire," he said.

The fire grew so fast that it spread to other houses.

Devolta said the 2 OTKs were then secured by residents and handed over to the police.
