New Yamaha R25 Launches In Indonesia, The Look Is More Sporty

JAKARTA - PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg. (YIMM) started the beginning of the year with special things. Yes, this Japanese brand officially launched a new product of New Yamaha R25, which was officially launched on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Appearing as Urban Super Sport Motorcycle which adopts and combines the spirit flagship of the Yamaha YZF-R9 and R1GYTR models, makes the latest generation Yamaha R25 in addition to being aggressive and sporty.

Deputy Marketing Director of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg Takaaki Karya, revealed that the launch of the latest Yamaha R25 at the beginning of this year was a concrete step for the company to continue to be committed to presenting various latest innovations that were able to answer the challenges and needs of increasingly dynamic consumers.

"This product presents the latest various upgrades, starting from the perspective of the typical Yamaha R-DNA design, powerful engine performance, and the addition of features that can support various dynamic driving needs," he said, in his official statement received, Tuesday, January 21.

So what are the changes presented? If you look at the most prominent details in the first new Yamaha R25 model, it is located in the design treats which now display a thicker super sport aura. Starting from the front fasia section, the latest generation of Yamaha R25 now appears more aggressive by presenting a fairing that has been equipped with M-Shaped Air Intake Duct like YZF-R9 and R1GYTR, which further emphasizes the new Yamaha R25 as 'Supersport R-Series'.

Meanwhile, the headlights for the latest generation of Yamaha R25 are also equipped with a main light that uses LED Projectors and Twin Eye LED light which is integrated into a new, slimmer fairing design.

In aerodynamic design, a new fairing that is slimmer to the back is able to direct airflow more optimally. So that way, it is possible for users to be able to get maximum aerodynamic effects.

The driving position is also getting more and more ergonomic with adjustments to the seat and side covers which are becoming much slimmer. Through this adjustment, motorists are expected to be able to get an increasingly ergonomic driving position for urban mobility needs or supersport motor driving experience.

Regarding the heartburn, the new Yamaha R25 model has now adopted a new 250CC 4-step engine, 8 DOHC-Fuel Injection valves, and liquid-cooled with standard Euro 5+ technology.

This machine, capable of producing a maximum power of 26.4 kW at 12,000 RPM and a maximum torque of 22.6 Nm at 10,000 RPM. With the specifications of Euro 5+ technology, the latest exhaust gas emissions in Yamaha R25 also have optimal combustion quality and are able to produce low emissions.

To further strengthen the concept of Urban Super Sport, various new feature upgrades are also presented in various aspects, ranging from a full digital display speedometer with multi-function views that are able to provide more complete driving information, ranging from odometers, trip meter oils, real-time or average fuel consumption views, and others.

Speaking of variants and prices, currently the latest version of R25 is only available in the ABS variant and has two color variants, namely Midnight Black & Racing Blue which is priced at IDR 75 million On the Road Jakarta.
