Residents Experience Shortness Of Breath Due To Fire In Kemayoran Gempol
After the fire in densely populated settlements located on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol, RT 07/08, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, a number of residents began to look for their remaining assets.
Of the 11 RTs that were burned down, one of the residents was taken to the hospital due to shortness of breath.
"The death toll is still nil. There is only one person who has shortness of breath and has been taken to the medistra hospital," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed, Tuesday, January 21, morning.
Firefighters are still in the process of extinguishing the remaining fire that is still burning among the rubble of the building. The fire that occurred for 5 hours scorched 543 houses.
"For the allegations and others, we will tell you later. Currently, all of them are still processing evacuations, including belongings from the burning houses," he said.
After the fire, the road section in Kemayoran Gempol or to be precise next to the Central Jakarta Metro Police is still permanently closed because it is still used for fire car parking which is still spraying water at the fire site.
"The roads around the fire scene are still closed," he said.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 543 semi-permanent houses on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol, RT 07/08, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, were destroyed by fire on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, early in the morning.
The fire that started to burn since 01.15 WIB was gradually extinguished at 06.00 WIB. The process of extinguishing the fire was carried out by a total of 34 fire engines with 170 personnel.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the relevant officers. Meanwhile, the burned area is about 4,500 square meters.
Luckily there were no casualties as a result of this big fire incident. However, the loss due to the fire is estimated at more than IDR 6 billion.
At least 1,797 people with 60 families were forced to flee because 543 of their semi-permanent houses were burned down by fire.
