Baznas And MUI And The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Prepare Assistance Following Ceasefire In Palestine
JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) held a meeting to deliver aid amid a ceasefire agreement between Palestine and Israel.
"We plan to support reconstruction in Palestine by building Indonesian hospitals, mosques and schools," said Chairman of the Indonesian National Baznas Noor Achmad in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday.
His party fully supports reconstruction efforts in Palestine by building Indonesian hospitals, mosques and schools after a ceasefire was reached in Gaza.
His party wants the laying of the first stones in the three buildings to be carried out by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Sugiono as a symbol of the solidarity of the Indonesian people for Palestine.
He also reaffirmed his commitment as a bridge to channel the mandate of Indonesian citizens to Palestine, through synergy with international partners.
"We express our deepest gratitude to all Indonesian people for the trust and concern that has been given. May Allah SWT repay this kindness with multiple blessings, and make this charity our helper in the world and the hereafter," said Noor Achmad.

Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta said the ceasefire agreement in Gaza was the right momentum to distribute humanitarian aid so that the Palestinian people's life force was maintained in fighting for independence.

Therefore, he appreciated Baznas and MUI's consistent steps to become a bridge to the distribution of humanitarian aid from the Indonesian people to the Palestinian people.
