The Bodies Of Karaoke Mall Glodok Plaza Fire Victims Are Hard To Recognize, Perfect Burns

JAKARTA - A total of 5 body bags of victims of the Glodok Plaza Mall fire were already at the Forensic Medical Installation of the Kramat Jati Police Hospital (RS), East Jakarta on Friday, January 17, 2025, afternoon.

"Until now, we have received 5 body bags. Starting last Thursday at 16.00, at 20.00 WIB there were 2 body bags and today at 09.44 WIB there are 2 body bags," said Head of the Police Hospital, Brigadier General Prima Heru Yulihartono to reporters.

The five bodies of the fire victims were in perfect burns and were difficult to identify or difficult to identify.

"(The victim) was completely burned, it was completely burned. Currently, the body is being investigated by the Forensic Team, the Inafis Team, the Dokpol Bureau team, and the DNA Lab Bureau," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a number of victims of the Glodok Plaza Mall fire were found burned to death in a karaoke room on the 8th floor, Glodok Plaza, Tamansari District, West Jakarta.

"At the karaoke place (the victim was found dead)," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syarifuddin, Friday, January 17.

According to Syarifuddin, the 8th floor of the Glodok Plaza building is a karaoke place. There are also many ruins on the 8th floor due to the fire.
