Preparation For The 2025 U-20 Asian Cup, Indonesia U-20 Will Trial Three Times

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, confirmed that his team would hold trials against Jordan, Syria and India.

The agenda is included in a series of training centers (TC) ahead of appearing in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup on 6-23 February 2025 in China.

In the U-20 Indonesian national team training session which took place at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, Indra Sjafri said that he had summoned 34 names to make preparations.

At the same time, the 61-year-old coach also revealed the agenda his troops will undergo. Nearby, Welber Jardim and colleagues will go to Surabaya to conduct a trial.

"Later on 19 (January 2025) we will move to Surabaya to conduct trials against Jordan on 24 (January 2025), 27 (January 2025) against Syria, and 30 (January 2025) against India," said Indra Sjafri before leading the exercise.

These three test events will also be used as Indra Sjafri to select players. Later, there will only be 23 names chosen by the coach to join the team that will compete in China.

"The trial is the last trial. After that, we will determine the 23 best players that we will set out for the U-20 Asian Cup in China," he said again.

In the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup, the Indonesian national team joined Group C with Iran, Uzbekistan, and Yemen.
