Debit Installs 4 Meters Of Musi Capai River Water, BMKG Asks Palembang Residents To Be Alert

SUMSEL - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) said the tidal discharge of the Musi River reached up to four meters.

Head of the Analysis and Forecast Unit of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin (SMB) II Palembang Meteorological Station, Sinta Andayani, appealed to residents of Palembang City to be aware of puddles.

"Yes, this morning starting at 08.00 WIB, the water tide at the mouth of the Musi River reaches up to four meters, yes, and tomorrow it is likely that it will still be installed," he said, confirmed in Palembang, Tuesday, January 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

He added that the tide will last until 10:00 WIB and recede at 08.00 WIB.

His party appealed to residents to be vigilant and make housing in areas that exceed the water level limit because several areas such as Gandus and Kertapati have started to have several houses that have started to be flooded.

The water level of the Musi River is also influenced by the flow of water discharge due to heavy rains in the districts of Muara Enim and Musi Rawas.
