DPRD Letters To President To Inaugurate Pramono-Rano As Governor-Deputy Governor Of Jakarta

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD will send a letter to President Prabowo Subianto to inaugurate Pramono Anung-Rano Karno as the elected Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada.

This was done after the DKI DPRD held a plenary meeting to determine the pair of candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of the Special Region of Jakarta Province in 2024.

"Today we have finished, the DPRD is following up on the results of the open plenary session of the KPU related to the determination of the candidate for governor, deputy governor of DKI Jakarta," said Khoirudin after a plenary meeting at the DKI DPRD building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 14.

So far, the General Elections Commission (KPU) has scheduled the inauguration of regional heads resulting from the 2024 Pilkada which was not sued to the Constitutional Court (MK) on January 7.

However, considering that there is a discourse on the postponement of the inauguration schedule because it is waiting for the 2024 Pilkada election results dispute process (PHP) in a number of regions to be completed, the DKI DPRD follows whatever the central government decides.

"We will write to the President through the Minister of Home Affairs for the inauguration request. As for the existing regulations, the inauguration is planned for February 7 unless there is a new decision," said Khoirudin.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta has officially appointed Pramono Anung and Rano Karno as the elected Governors of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada. This was stated in a plenary meeting to determine the elected candidate pair for the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election in 2024.

This is stated in the Decree of the DKI Jakarta KPU Number 9 of 2025 concerning the Determination of the Candidate Pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of the Elected Province of the Special Region of Jakarta in 2024 which was read by the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta KPU Wahyu Dinata.
