Housewives In Depok Arrested For Debt Of IDR 140 Million

JAKARTA - A housewife with the initials AN became a victim of the confinement of a man with the initials R in a house in Gang 2 Putri Jaya, No. 189, Ratujaya Village, Cipayung, Depok City, West Java.

The confinement is motivated by debt with a nominal value of Rp140 million.

Based on a report received by VOI on Monday, January 13, 2025, the incident began when the victim was in debt with the perpetrator, R. Yes, victim AN had a debt of Rp140 million to R.

The victim only paid Rp40 million in debt, but that did not make the perpetrator feel satisfied. The victim was eventually held captive in the house.

HG, the victim's husband, panicked because he did not get news from his wife, and did not even see him at home.

HG tried to contact the perpetrator. But his efforts were in vain. The perpetrator and his partner did not want to repatriate the victim before his debt was paid off.

In short, HG managed to find out the whereabouts of his wife who was being held captive. When he wanted to enter the house to meet his wife, he was blocked by his fellow perpetrators. Even HG received threats from the perpetrators.

HG also reported the incident to the Depok Metro Police, on Sunday 12 January 2025. Currently, investigators have examined two witnesses.
