Badanas Notes Rising And Lowering Food Prices

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that the majority of food prices in general fell, red cayenne peppers of Rp. 70,440 per kilogram (kg) and shallots of Rp. 37,330 per kg, on Sunday morning.

Based on data from the Bapanas Price Panel as reported in Jakarta, at 09.13 WIB in general, food prices at the retail level nationally, premium rice rose 0.19 percent or Rp30 to Rp15,560 per kg.

Meanwhile, medium rice fell 0.81 percent or Rp110 to Rp13,470 per kg; as well as rice supply stability and food prices (SPHP) Bulog also decreased 0.48 percent or Rp60 to Rp12,440 per kg.

Furthermore, the onion commodity was observed to have decreased by 3.81 percent or Rp1,520 to Rp38,330 per kg; as well as garlic down 0.73 percent or Rp310 to Rp42,230 per kg.

Then, the price of curly red chili commodities also fell to 10.61 percent or Rp5,370 to Rp45,230 per kg; then red cayenne pepper also fell 4.35 percent or Rp3,200 to Rp70,440 per kg.

Furthermore, the price of pure beef fell 0.84 percent or Rp1,130 to Rp133,760 per kg; then chicken meat fell 0.93 percent or Rp350 to Rp37,200 per kg; as well as broiler eggs decreased 0.63 percent or Rp190 to Rp29,950 per kg.

Meanwhile, the commodity of dried soybeans (imports) was observed to increase by 1.64 percent or Rp170 to Rp10,560 per kg; while consumption sugar fell 0.28 percent or Rp50 to Rp17,920 per kg.

Meanwhile, simple packaged cooking oil rose 0.36 percent or Rp70 to Rp19,320 per kg; in contrast to bulk cooking oil, it fell 1.72 percent or Rp300 to Rp17,130 per kg.

Then the flour commodity fell by 3.05 percent or Rp. 300 to Rp. 9,520 per kg; as well as non-mass wheat also decreased by 3.76 percent or Rp.480 to Rp. 12,270 per kg.

Next, the price of corn at the farmer level fell 2.07 percent or Rp130 to Rp6,260 per kg; then the price of fine salt with sodium also fell by 2.51 percent or Rp280 to Rp10,890 per kg.
