Japanese PM Arrives In Indonesia, Tomorrow Meets President Prabowo
Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Shigeru Ishiba and his wife Yoshiko Ishibatiba at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, in the official visit in Indonesia on January 10, 2025.
Based on information received from the Press, Media and Information Bureau (BPMI) of the Presidential Secretariat, PM Ishiba is scheduled to receive and meet President Prabowo Subianto at the Bogor Presidential Palace, Bogor City, West Java, Saturday (11/1).
PM Ishiba is scheduled to arrive at the Bogor Palace, on Saturday at around 10:00 WIB, after he and his entourage were scheduled to make a pilgrimage to the Main Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery (TMPN) in South Jakarta to pay tribute to national heroes and lay wreaths.
At the Bogor Palace, PM Ishiba will be greeted with a state ceremony, and in the same place, PMIshiba and President Prabowo will hold bilateral meetings to discuss increasing cooperation between Indonesia and Japan.
From the Bogor Palace, PM Ishiba is scheduled to leave for Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Saturday afternoon, to continue the journey.
PM Ishiba, when he got off the plane's stairs, received respect from the troops on the line of honor. The arrival of PM Ishiba was also enlivened by the band's musical matching convoy, the performance of the traditional Banten dance Walijaliha, and the cannon boom.
Indonesia became one of the destinations of PM Ishiba's first overseas visit after he officially served as prime minister of Japan on October 1, 2024. PM Ishiba previously visited Malaysia on January 9, 2025.
