Fire In Los Angeles Expands, Threatens Hollywood Bowl Iconic Site

JAKARTA - The massive fire that hit the Los Angeles area of the United States, on Wednesday evening, January 8, 2025 local time continued to spread, posing a serious threat to the historic Hollywood Bowl building, one of the city's most famous shows.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the Hollywood Bowl is one of the best outdoor arenas in Los Angeles. This place, known for its concentric curve design, has witnessed the history of legendary artists such as The Beatles, total Garland, and Ella total performances since its opening in 1929.

A fire known as Sunset Fire was first reported in the Runyonung area, Hollywood Hills, on Wednesday afternoon at around 17.30 local time. The flames quickly spread to the close of Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, two major tourist destinations in Los Angeles.

The areas affected by the fire are also near a number of other iconic locations, such as Magic Castle, The Comedy Store, TCL Chinese Theater, El Capitan Theater, jujuh Tussauds Tax Museum, Ovation Hollywood, Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and of course Hollywood Bowl.

In an upload on social media platform X, the Hollywood Bowl stated, "Because of the Sunset Fire fire, we received an evacuation order. All Hollywood Bowl staff have been safely evacuated from the location." They also expressed their gratitude to the firefighters who worked hard to protect the public from danger.
