Passed By 9,297 Vehicles Per Day, The Most Congested Toll Road In Sumatra
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) said that the Terbanggi Besar Toll Road "Pematang Panggang" Kayu Agung (Terpeka) became the managed toll road with the highest average daily traffic (LHR) in Sumatra throughout 2024.
The Terpeka Toll Road recorded an LHR of 9,297 vehicles per day.
That number increased 5.27 percent compared to 2023.
"The high LHR of the Terpeka Toll Road is supported by a strategic location as a liaison between Lampung and South Sumatra provinces. Then, the ease of travel is faster and safer, which is the main choice for users in supporting economic growth in the region," said Hutama Karya President Director Budi Harto in his official statement, written Thursday, January 9.
In addition to the Terpeka Toll Road, there are also other toll roads managed by Hutama Karya which have high LHR throughout 2024.
However, the location is not in Sumatra, but in Java, namely the South Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR-S).

The JORR-S Toll Road recorded an LHR of 145,053 vehicles per day, with a significant increase of 8.72 percent compared to 2023.
"The vital role of the JORR-S Toll Road in supporting the smooth mobility of logistics in the Jabodetabek area is the main factor in the high LHR in this section," he said.
In order to maintain this achievement, Hutama Karya routinely improves toll road services and facilities for the convenience of users.
