Tourism Bus Group TI Badung Bali Vocational School Rem Blong In Batu, 4 People Died

A total of four people were reported to have died in a tourist bus traffic accident that occurred on Jalan Raya Beji, Junrejo District, Batu City, East Java.

"While there were four victims who died, we are still collecting data for the injuries," said Batu Police Chief AKBP Andi Yudha Pranata as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 9.

Based on initial information from the police, the accident occurred at around 19.15 WIB. The incident was allegedly due to a tourism bus from Bali experiencing a failed brake when crossing Jalan Raya Beji.

"The bus is from Bali, while the cause is suspected to be a failed brake but we are still studying or exploring it again," he said.

It is known that the tourist bus with the police number DK 7942 GB was carrying passengers from SMK TI Bali Global Badung for industrial visits to several areas, namely Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Malang.

The police are currently still carrying out evacuation efforts, as well as collecting data to find out the exact number of victims in the unfortunate incident.

Meanwhile, one of the residents around Kusnari said the bus was traveling from the top lane.

However, because the road has a downward contour, the tourism bus suddenly hit several vehicles in front of it.

"Suddenly hit several vehicles in front of him, like the brakes failed. What I saw were four cars that were hit, two motorbikes that were hit," he said.
