Mandalika SEZ Brushes Germany To Japan To Plant Capital

JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia or InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) revealed that The Mandalika Area has succeeded in attracting foreign investors from Germany to Japan to invest in the area.

ITDC Commercial Director, Troy Warfare, admitted that his party continues to make improvements to the Mandalika SEZ. This includes building complete infrastructure in the area.

According to Troy, The Mandalika region has shown prospects that are quite good so that it has succeeded in attracting foreign investors.

"When asked which investors have entered, of course apart from Indonesia as it is today, we also get investors from, from Germany, from Japan, and also from Morocco. And these foreigners all invest in Mandalika," he said when met at Gran Melia Jakarta, Tuesday, January 7.

However, Troy did not reveal how much investment investors from the three countries had realized.

Troy explained that foreign investors see The Mandalika Region as having good prospects. The benchmark, said Troy, the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, has successfully held an international motorcycle racing event, MotoGP.

They see Mandalika's prospects are quite good. With indeed one of the benchmarks is the existence of the Pertamina Mandalika circuit. Another thing that is important is that the Pertamina Mandalika circuit has a fixed agenda, which is clear," he said.

Troy revealed that one form of investment that investors are interested in in developing The Mandalika Area is luxury garage or a luxurious garage.

Furthermore, Troy said this was proof that the development of The Mandalika Area was not limited to building hotels or restaurants.

"It turns out that development is not only making hotels, restaurants, but also making Luxury Garage. So luxury cars that are owned and can only be owned in SEZ facilities, cannot get out of SEZs. Therefore, you have to have a cage, you have to have a garage," he explained.
