Violating The Law To Become A Therapist And Song Guide, Jakut Immigration Office Deports 4 Chinese Foreigners

JAKARTA - The Class I Immigration Office of North Jakarta TPI through the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section has deported four Chinese citizens with the initials XH, WW, WCX, and ZY on Tuesday 7 January.

The four of them were proven to have abused their residence permit with activities as therapists and song guides. Deportation is carried out through Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

This operation began when officers carried out immigration surveillance at a massage and spa in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta. Directly led by the Head of the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section, Widya Anusa Brata, officers found XH, WW, WCX, and ZY working as therapists and song guides at that location.

After field inspection, the four foreigners were found to have entered Indonesia using Visa On Arrival (VOA) and were proven to have violated Article 122 letter a of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. They do not comply with the residence permit they have and receive wages from the work.

"In addition to being subject to deportation, their names are also included in the deterrence list so they cannot return to Indonesia in the near future," said Widya Anusa Brata.

This decisive step is part of the government's efforts to crack down on immigration violations, maintain the stability of the country's security, and protect the jobs of local communities.

This operation was carried out on the instructions of the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Plt. Director General of Immigration, as well as Director of Supervision and Enforcement of Immigration.

"This supervision is our commitment to ensure that the presence of foreigners in Indonesia does not interfere with the social and economic stability of the community," added Widya.
