The Number Of Babies Died Due To Coldness In The Gaza Strip Has Increased Again
JAKARTA - The number of Palestinian babies who died from severe cold weather in the Gaza Strip increased again on Monday, as fatalities continued to grow as a result of Israeli genocide.
According to a medical report, Yousef Ahmed Anwar Kalloub, 35 days old, died from bad weather conditions and severe cold weather suffered by the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll of eight infants, quoted from WAFA January 6.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Agency for Assistance and Work for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) has again highlighted the cold weather and lack of shelter that endangers the lives of infants and children in Gaza.
"The cold weather and lack of shelter cause the death of a newborn in Gaza, while 7,700 newborns do not have care that can save lives," said UNRWA.
UNRWA added in a statement released tonight that "cold weather and lack of shelter lead to the death of newborns in Gaza, while 7,700 newborns have no life-saving treatments."
The latest conflict in Gaza that broke out on October 7, 2023 caused displaced people to live in tents made of cloth and nylon, in difficult humanitarian conditions due to the scarcity of basic necessities, such as water and food, in addition to the lack of clothing, fish blankets, and heating tools during winter.
