Canceled Attendance, Police Schedule Again Examination Of The Head Of The NTB Education And Culture Office For The 2024 DAK Extortion Case

The Mataram City Police (Polresta) sent a second summons to the Head of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province Education and Culture Office (Kadis Dikbud) Aidy Furqan.

Aidy was summoned after being unable to attend today to undergo examination as a witness in the case of illegal levies (extortion) for procurement projects using special allocation funds (DAK) in 2024.

"Yes, actually today the agenda for the examination is because (Aidy Furqan) said he could not come, we sent a second call," said Head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Regi Halili in Mataram, Monday, January 6, quoted by Antara.

According to him, the reason Aidy Furqan was unable to attend was because he was carrying out an assistance service for the Acting Governor. The Governor of NTB.

"So, we have sent the two summons for a reschedule for next week's inspection, Monday (January 13)," he said.

The Mataram Police handling the extortion case began with a hand arrest of AM on December 11, 2024. AM, who is now a suspect, was caught red-handed receiving IDR 50 million in cash in his position as Head of Vocational School at the NTB Dikbud Service.

The Mataram Police Corruption Crime Unit Team arrested AM in the SMK Head room at the NTB Education and Culture Office, shortly receiving cash in a brown package.

From the investigation process, it was revealed that the cash was a fee requested by the implementer of the equipment procurement project at one of the Vocational Schools in Mataram City.

There was an allegation that the 5-10 percent fee withdrawal from the project value occurred in every project implementation sourced from DAK. The fee is referred to as administrative money.

Aidy Furqan in this case is suspected of being involved. This was revealed from AM's verbal confession outside the examination.
