Anthony Ginting Ready To Appear At Malaysia Open 2025

JAKARTA The men's singles badminton player Anthony Sinisuka Ginting recovered from injury problems and is in a fit condition to appear at the Malaysia Open 2025 which took place this week.

Ginting is one of nine Indonesian representatives who will play in the Super 1000 BWF event after he missed several events at the end of last year.

"The injury healing process is quite good. Now I am ready to compete again," Ginting said in a statement from PBSI Public Relations.

The 28-year-old badminton player played his last match at the Denmark Open 2024 in October 2024. At that time, he immediately went home in the first half.

Japan Masters with Super 500 levels and China Masters with Super 750 BWF levels are two major tournaments after which Ginting cannot participate.

"Hopefully it can return slowly to the best performance. I certainly want to get up this year," said the badminton player from Cimahi, West Java, that.

Malaysia Open 2025 will take place from Tuesday, January 7, 2025, to Sunday, January 12, 2025. In the men's singles, Ginting went down with Jonatan Christie.

Ginting, who is not a seed, will meet Lee Chia Hao from China Taipei in the first half. He could meet Jonathan in the semifinals if his two trips were both smooth.

In the history of Malaysia Open, Indonesia's men's singles number has been short since Taufik Hidayat in 2000.

The seven other representatives who played in this event were Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Putri Kusuma Wardani, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, and Dejan Ferdinandsyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.
