Jakarta Is Raining This Afternoon, 8 Trees Fall To Overtake Cars
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded 8 fallen trees in Jakarta after heavy rains accompanied by strong winds this afternoon.
"The number of incidents of 2 fallen trees in North Jakarta and 6 fallen trees in East Jakarta," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji to reporters, Sunday, January 5.
Tree that fell in North Jakarta, among others, occurred on Jalan Kampung Sungai Begog, Semper Timur Village, Cilincing District, which hit an aerial cable pole and on Jalan Madya Kebantenan, Semper Timur Village, Cilincing District.
The same incident in East Jakarta was on Jalan Masjid Al Husto, Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit which hit the canopy of the house; on Jalan Biru Laut X, Cipinang Cimpedak, Jatinegara; Jalan Pahlawan Revolution Number 2, Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit and hit the store canopy.
Then, on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara; Jalan Pahlawan Revolution Number 14, Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit and hit the roof of the shop; as well as on Jalan Betung VI Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit and hit the car.
Isnawa said the incident of a fallen tree this afternoon was caused by rain accompanied by strong winds. There were no casualties from the incident.
