Clash Of Two Village Youth Groups In Lombok Triggered By Cellphone Problems

East Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) stated that it was conducting an investigation into the alleged beating that resulted in three residents being seriously injured after being hit by a sharp weapon on New Year's Eve 2025.

"The alleged beating is under investigation," said Head of Public Relations of the East Lombok Police AKP Nicolas Oesman, Wednesday, January 1.

He said the case that happened to the victim named Lukman Hakim (30), a resident of Pengkelak Emas Village, West Sakra District, Harni (60) and Rezi (18), a resident of North Pijot Village, Keruak District, occurred on New Year's Eve 2025, Wednesday morning.

"The three victims suffered serious injuries, there were victims who suffered injuries to the head, nearly severed wrists, including injuries to the legs," he said.

He said the fight and beatings of the youths were allegedly triggered by a cellphone problem, between the youth of Pengkelak Emas Village and the youth of North Pijot Village.

Meanwhile, the victims who saw the fight tried to break up the dispute, but instead when breaking up, a group of youths who came on motorbikes equipped with sharp weapons (Sajam) immediately attacked the victim, without caring if the victim was wrong on target.

"As a result of the incident, Heri suffered injuries to the head, Lukman's victim suffered injuries to the neck and legs due to Sajam's cut, and Rezi's victim suffered injuries to his fingers," he said.

After receiving the information, his party immediately went down to the crime scene (TKP) and the perpetrators had fled. Meanwhile, the injured victims were immediately taken to the puskesmas for intensive care.

"In this case, there were three people who became victims and suffered injuries due to sharp weapon cuts. The perpetrators are being hunted," he said.
