Pandeglang Regent Irna Narulita Award Receives PWI Friends Award

PANDEGLANG The Regent of Pandeglang, Irna Narulita, received the PWI Friends award from the Pandeglang Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI). This award was given as a form of appreciation for Irna's consistent support for PWI Pandeglang's programs.

The chairman of PWI Pandeglang, Yanadi, explained that the relationship between PWI Pandeglang and Regent Irna Narulita has been closely related like friends.

"We submitted this award certificate because the Regent not only supports our activities, but also builds a very close relationship. He is a true PWI Friend," Yanadi said on Tuesday, December 31.

On the same occasion, Yanadi also introduced the new management of PWI Pandeglang to the Pandeglang Regency Government. He emphasized that the structure of the PWI Pandeglang organization which had just been ratified by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham).

"We want to strengthen friendship as well as introduce a new legally recognized management. Next year, we will focus on programs such as National Press Day (HPN) in Banjarmasin and Journalist Training Work (KLW) to improve member competence," Yanadi continued.

Support For Legitimate Management

The Advisory Board of PWI Banten, Agus Sandjadhrja, highlighted the importance of legality in journalists' organizations. He emphasized that PWI Pandeglang under Yanadi's leadership is a legal management that has been recognized by the state.

PWI's journey is full of dynamics, including the 25th congress in Bandung which stipulates Hendry Ch Bangun as General Chair. Now, PWI's legality is clear and registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. This is an important foundation for all of us to remain solid," said Agus.

Regent Irna Narulita also expressed her appreciation for the award given. He emphasized the importance of the role of journalists in providing valid information and valuable input for Pandeglang's progress.

"I really appreciate the work of journalists who always convey credible information. We also receive many suggestions from journalists regarding the aspirations of the community and the performance of the head of the service," said Irna.

Irna hopes that there will be no more dualism within journalists' organizations, especially in Pandeglang.

"We support PWI which is valid with clear legality. Dualism will only weaken solidarity. Journalists are the storefront and locomotive of society. If you are divided, we are sad too. Let's stay solid for the common good," he concluded.

This award is also the end of the year which emphasizes the synergy between PWI Pandeglang and the Pandeglang Regency Government.
