Jakut Firefighters Evacuate Crews Of Fishing Boats In The Waters Of Pancang Island

JAKARTA - The fishing boat in the southern waters of Lancang Kecil Island, Seribu Island, North Jakarta, had a leak until it finally sank, Monday, December 30, at 10.29 WIB. 5 crew members were reported to have survived.

"The victim was able to be evacuated and taken to the island of Badminton," said Head of Operations for North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed, Monday, December 30.

Gatot explained that the incident began when fishermen were looking for fish in Lancang Island waters. Suddenly the ship had a leak, so the captain of the ship immediately contacted the North Jakarta firefighters.

"There was a leak and it was seen that the water was coming in too quickly, causing the ship to sink, then the ship's captain contacted the ship's owner," he said.

A total of one unit and five personnel were deployed. The crew of the ship was successfully evacuated.
