Khamzat Chimaev Recorded The Best Submission Of The 2024 UFC When Bending Robert Whittaker

JAKARTA - Middle-class Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Khamzat Chimaev recorded the best submission at the 2024 UFC while overthrowing Robert Whittaker at UFC 308, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in October 2024.

Based on the voting results released on the MMA Fighting page monitored in Jakarta, Sunday, voters gave a total of 10 (highest) points for submission (technically hindering the movement and making opponents give up) Chimaev against Whittaker in a five-round match.

It was explained, Chimaev was supposed to face Whittaker at the UFC main event in Saudi Arabia in June 2024. However, the disease forced the Russian fighter out of the match. After Whittaker crushed Ikram Aliskerov, as a substitute for Chimaev, the fight between the two was rescheduled for UFC 308's main event.

In their meeting, Chimaev only needed one round to confirm to everyone how good he was.

About 10 seconds after the fight, Chimaev struck Whittaker with a takedown attempt, forcing the former Australian champions into lockdown.

Whittaker, an accomplished wrestler, did his best to keep his feet, but Chimaev managed to beat him to the floor. Whittaker tries to create a fight but can't take the pressure off Chimaev, who finds a way back and quickly makes a locked-nake lock.

The only advantage for Whittaker in that position is that the lock is not under the chin, but across it. But it turns out that's the problem. Not affected by the less optimal position, Chimaev simply pressed his position as a face crane, immediately forcing Whittaker to eat.

Chimaev's finish took place quickly. He broke Whittaker's teeth in one of the most horrific injuries ever to occur in the eighth hand.

Whittaker is one of the best fighters of its generation. He has faced several of the best fighters ever, including 50 minutes withvisy Romero, but Chimaev gave him a sadistic defeat.

Furthermore, the second-placed UFC 2024 best submission was recorded in the Makachev Islamic battle against Justin Poirier with 54 points, the Dricus du Plessis submission to Israel Adesanya in third place with 34 points.

In addition, submissions in the CarmOKe fight against Watanabe were ranked fourth with 26 points and Ortega against Rordiguez in fifth place with 19 points.
