Minister Of Trade Budi: Food Prices Tend To Be Stable After D+2 Christmas 2024
JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso said that national food prices tend to be stable two days after Christmas 2024.
"As of December 27, or two days after the national religious holiday (HBKN) for Christmas 2024 compared to last month, prices for basic commodities tended to be stable," said Trade Minister (Mendag) Budi Santoso during a food coordination meeting in Bandarlampung, quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 28.
He said the food ingredients that have stable prices include rice, sugar, cooking oil, both bulk, premium and Minyakitan, flour, beef, wheat flour and garlic.
"Premium rice has a price of Rp. 16,300 per kilogram, Bulog medium rice Rp. 12,600 per kilogram, sugar Rp. 18,200 per kilogram, bulk cooking oil Rp. 17,600 per liter, MinyaKita Rp. 17,200, and premium packaged oil Rp. 21,900," he said.
Then beef Rp138,700 per kilogram, wheat flour Rp13,200 per kilogram, curly red chilies Rp46,700 per kilogram, large red chilies Rp48,300 per kilogram, red pepper Rp57,200 per kilogram, garlic catting Rp44,400 per kilogram and garlic honorarium Rp44,200 per kilogram.
"Meanwhile, commodities that recorded an increase in prices were shallots, which experienced an increase in prices to Rp43,900 per kilogram, an increase of 5.78 percent compared to the previous month," he added.

He continued that broiler eggs rose 7.59 percent to Rp32,600 kilograms due to the increase in public demand at the end of the year, then broiler meat rose 3.12 percent to Rp39,700 per kilogram, and chilies were still in reference prices with an increase of 26-37 percent.
"What is certain is that the availability of food at the end of the year is sufficient, and we will continue to monitor the price regularly," he said again.
