Dark Passengers Again Successfully Flying On Delta Air Lines, Here's What Happened Next

JAKARTA - Towards the end of the year, when travel requests and tourist activities were peaking, a shocking incident occurred in the United States. A ticketless passenger managed to sneak into a Delta Air Lines flight, taking advantage of the busy holiday season.

The dark passenger whose identity has not been disclosed managed to get on a flight from Seattle to Honolulu on Christmas Eve. Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines stated that the ticketless passenger was found while the plane was maneuvering a taxi to take off.

According to the airline's statement, as reported by the Associated Press, Saturday, December 28, according to procedures, the plane returned to the gate to lower passengers without tickets - and then law enforcement arrested him.

According to Seattle Airport, which operates Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, all other passengers were also taken off the plane and returned to the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint for re-examination "as a precautionary measure".

The Delta 487 flight then left Seattle airport and continued its journey to Honolulu - but the trip was delayed for 2 hours and 15 minutes as a result, according to Delta.

"Because there is nothing more important than safety and security, Delta officers followed procedures to remove passengers without tickets from the plane and then arrest them," an airline spokesman said in a statement sent to the Associated Press on Friday, expressing his gratitude to customers for his patience and cooperation.

The incident on Tuesday came less than a month after another dark passenger boarded a Delta flight last month, during Thanksgiving. Authorities said Svetlana Dali, a Russian woman with a permanent US residential status, avoided security at John F. Kennedy International Airport and managed to fly to Paris as a dark passenger on flight Delta 26 November. She was arrested when the plane landed and then flown back to the US.
